Hey sruly....

1st tkx for your fast answer. YOu are totally right, you don't have to include a credit for the way you used the "template".... sorry for that

"Even if what you suggested would be true, what would that change anything? A CC copyright is important but it isn’t causing any financial harm to the original creator and owner like explained in my post. Although I will still continue to do everything possible to give credit where Creative Commons copyrights apply"

The question is not whether it causes financial harm to the author, the question is whether we accept that he spent hours and hours on creating the stuff we are using for free without mentioning his name on the bottom.

What concerns uploading clips to youtube, i think that this is a problem the jewish music industry always had. However, Sameach Music is in a pole position concerning that stuff, because with th e SMP and their free Vids on Youtube, you found a great way to promote& advertise your stuff but also to make people buy your stuff.

so far...

For the record I started that design with a free template from that website but by the time I had finished tinkering with it the only thing that remained was that html tagline. Nothing remains from the original template design that I started out with so no credit is needed. If I would have just copy and posted the original design I would have given a credit. In fact if you look at the bottom of THIS blog template you will see that I didn't take out the credit to the original designer. I don't steal any photos I pay for every single stock photo online.

I have never claimed to be perfect, I am just explaining whats wrong with uploading clips to YouTube.

Hey Sruly,

if you are already talking about copyright violations, have a look at designsbysruly.com. The source code tells me that the design was taken from freecsstemplates.com

They publish their stuff under a CC license which includes a paragraph, that forces you to include their name and a link on the bottom of the page. however you don't do so. i like your designs, but it is not nice to take the designs that people have been working on for hours and days, without including their name on the bottom.
